More exciting upgrades coming for the landing!

We have communicated one set of upgrades coming to the landing starting on May 27th to replace a number of docks.  The town has just confirmed a second initiative starting on May 13th to upgrade the walkway, breakwall and railing.  These two projects collectively make significant improvements to the landing.

We’ve posted below the two project notices.  The first is for the project starting on May 13th and the second is for the project starting on May 27th.  The town is escalating these improvements to avoid the busy season but it will take flexibility to support the town and contractors to complete the efforts and for everyone to stay safe.  Please park vehicles and trailers in the parking lot furthest from the landing for the safety and mobility of everyone.  Follow the towns guidance on docking.

Please review the plan to ensure awareness so we can all support.   Please reach out to any LMCOA Board members with any questions.  We have a new email account that you can send questions to:  LMCOAContactUs@gmail.com

Thank you again to the Town for their efforts in making this happen and thank you all for your support as we navigate the installations!

Damaged Ramp at the Landing

Fellow Cottagers, the ice is out on Lake Matinenda as of April 9. Unfortunately, one of the access ramps to our docks has been damaged and no foot access is available to the two furthest docks.  Please do not attempt to use this damaged access as there are boards missing and the area is unsafe.

The Town has been notified and temporary repairs are coming.  We will keep LMCOA informed of any changes.

Update from Blind River on Seawall

Update for LMCOA Members: This is from the Town of Blind River in response to our request for an improved sea wall to accommodate contractors and double the on/off loading of boats in the ramp area, plus other issues we addressed in our 2007 AGM. Lines of communication have opened. Meetings where held with some directors and other lake residents and members of Town Council to get us to this action point. I send this out now, so you can plan to be in attendance at our AGM when we schedule it. Continue reading Update from Blind River on Seawall
