The Town of Blind River has made us aware of upcoming changes to the dumpsters in the parking lot at the lake. This initiative is being done for all rural dumpsters associated with the Town. Please reach out to the Town with any questions at info@blindriver.ca. Please review the email from the Town below, as well as the attachments. We will work together to navigate this change.

To: Matinenda cottagers
The Town of Blind River is making changes at all remote garbage dumpsters in our area. The attached letter outlines the changes planned to restrict the use of the waste collection bins at the Matinenda landing to residents only.
Also note that the following items can be disposed of at the landfill at no cost:
- E-waste – See attachment for the recently expanded list of acceptable items
- Natural wood brush
- Scrap steel and metal
- Mattresses (if disassembled)
- Blue Box Recyclable materials
- Cardboard
- Containers
- Household batteries
