Hi everyone, on behalf of the LMCOA Board, I hope you and yours are having an awesome winter wherever you are!
The Lake Matinenda Cottage Owners Association Board is continuing efforts to deliver for Matinenda cottage owners as it has done for over 60 years. Your membership in our Association enhances our ability to make the concerns of Matinenda cottage owners known, and to address them.
Since we saw you last year, we have been working together with the Town of Blind River to monitor and repair docks at the landing and prepare new signage for the parking lot. We have been in contact with MNR to understand and advocate for better communication and management of lake water levels, and we have been working with the Federation of Ontario Cottage Owners (FOCA) to expand our knowledge and communication of FireSmart efforts and of mitigation of invasive species in Ontario lakes. We are also working on a boating safety program which will be shared this coming summer and you’ll see updates in our Spring Newsletter.
